1. Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the len.sh screenshot API service ("Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your account and API keys
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Accept responsibility for all activity under your account

You may not:

  • Share accounts or API keys with unauthorized parties
  • Create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits
  • Provide false or misleading information

3. Acceptable Use

Permitted Uses

  • Capturing screenshots of publicly accessible websites
  • Rendering HTML content you have the right to use
  • Integrating screenshots into your applications and workflows
  • Commercial use within your plan limits

Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

  • Capture illegal content or content you do not have the right to access
  • Violate third-party copyrights, trademarks, or other rights
  • Circumvent paywalls, authentication, or access controls
  • Scrape, harvest, or mine data from websites
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
  • Abuse, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure
  • Send spam or engage in malicious activity
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation

4. API Usage & Limits

Your use of the Service is subject to the rate limits and monthly screenshot quotas of your plan. Current limits are published on our Pricing page.

  • Exceeding rate limits will result in 429 responses
  • Exceeding monthly quotas will block further requests until the next billing period
  • We reserve the right to modify limits with reasonable notice
  • Abuse or circumvention of limits may result in account suspension

5. Payment Terms

  • Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
  • Price changes will be communicated with at least 30 days notice
  • No refunds for partial billing periods
  • Prices exclude applicable taxes, which are your responsibility

6. Intellectual Property

Our Property

The Service, including its API, documentation, branding, and underlying technology, is our property. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of URLs, HTML, and parameters you provide
  • Screenshots generated through the Service are your property
  • We may cache screenshots per your API settings but claim no ownership

Third-Party Content

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture any website or content. We are not responsible for third-party content rendered through the Service.

7. Service Availability

  • We target high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible
  • Support is provided via email, with response times varying by plan

8. Termination

By You

You may cancel your account at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

  • Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Fail to pay outstanding fees

For non-severe violations, we will provide notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue. Severe violations (illegal activity, security threats) may result in immediate termination.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not control and are not responsible for the content of third-party websites captured through the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, len.sh shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless len.sh from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Denmark. Before pursuing legal action, you agree to contact us to attempt informal resolution.

13. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and len.sh.
  • Severability: If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive that right.
  • Assignment: We may assign these Terms. You may not assign without our consent.
  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
